Duty report

After the Ss' acting, have the whole class to assess. (Using A.B.C.D cards: A—Excellent, B—Very Good, C—Good, D—Not bad )

( 1 ) Ask some students to act out the dialogue in L77.
( 2 ) Word test: My favourite sport is (fishing, tennis, basketball, volleyball, roller-skating, chess, table-tennis, flying a kite)

Presentation

(1) Ask the Ss to help model the following dialogue, using a yo-yo.
    T: Do you know what's this in English?
    S: It's a yo-yo.
    T: Do you want a go? (Ask one student)
    S: Yes.
    T: Oh no. Don't throw it like that.
    Throw it like this.
    Oh, no. It's too hard. (Ask another student)
    T: Can you do it?
    S: Yes, I can. You see, it's very easy,
(2) Teach
    Throw it like this.
    Don't throw it like that.
    (Remind the Ss of Mimi, you look like Lucy's hat)

Book closed. Listen and explain “Do you want a go?” in Chinese.
Listen to the tape once again and repeat.

Practice

(1) SB Page17. Part2.
    Showing the pictures to Ss. Ask the Ss:
    Can you ride a bike ?
    Can you swim?
    Help the Ss answer like this: Yes, I can. It's easy.
    No, I can't. It's too hard.
(2) Play the tape for the Ss to listen and repeat.
    Correct the Ss' pronunciation and intonation if necessary.
(3) Have the Ss ask and answer questions in pairs.
(4) Workbook Exercise3.

Listening and assessing

(1) Assessment Book. Listening A, B.
    After listening, ask the Ss exchange their nooks to assess each     other while checking the answers.
(2) Play the tape of one student, then ask the other Ss to assess.

Homework

(1) Finish exercises.
(2)Page39—Page40 of Assessment Book.
(3)Recite the dialogue in Part1.
(4)Translation:
    我想我不会玩溜溜球,太难了。
    李雷是个足球迷。
    韩梅最喜欢的运动是篮球。
