In order to promote the development of each experimental area, and make clear about “what is the Curriculum Assessment?” and “how to carry on the assessment.” The National Project Office of English Curriculum Assessment for School Education made a TV Special “Assessment Today” (15 series, 5 VCDS). Through interviewing educational experts and using vivid examples, the program introduces and discusses the new concept of assessment: Educational Assessment is a system. Curriculum Assessment and teaching should be an organic whole. Its aim is to promote the development of students, teachers and curriculum. The program shows a fact that new assessment concept is not blank and abstract and it can be achieved by teaching design technique and assessment technique.
In March 2002, “Assessment Today” (15 series, 5VCDS) was broadcasted in the TV program “ Foreign language on TV” of CETV-1.It has been broadcasted twice. It is good reference material for English teachers and educational researchers
